Big Fashion Shoot

How often do us photographers get REALLY REALLy excited about an upcoming shoot. Well I am at the moment. I've a BIG shoot coming up this Thursday, granted it's just portfolio work, but the idea is actually REALLY cool. Now I'm not gonna spill the beans on the exact details, but this one is gonna test everybodies skills. I've already had to build a complete set (of sorts) for the shoot, which is one of the biggest structures I've yet had to build. So that alone is pretty cool - I only hope the damn thing will still be there come Thursday. Then there's lighting on the day, that's gonna be tricky. Bringing the FULL studio setup with me for this one - eeeek! Our wonderful makeup artist Michelle Anderson is gonna have her work cut out for her too, it's her idea by the way, but as amazing as she is at her job, I know this one is gonna be a challenge for her. And then there's our gorgeous model Lareina Slight. She's gonna have a real job on her hands, but I've no doubt she'll work wonders on the day - provided it's not too cold, though I think the weather's to be pretty good. Anywho, better get back to work now, just really excited about Thursday is all!!!

Well folks, it's been a couple of weeks since my last post. I've been busy working up some exciting new wedding packages as well as getting to grips with a brand new facebook fan page. Nearly Finished

Had a great time shooting with Lisa, Mark and Michelle last Monday and I'm almost finished editing the pics. I've been taking my time - when time is available - with these, but so far the pics are coming out good. Lisa is a model in a million, she shows up half an hour early, doesn't complain once and all she wants to do is climb climb climb - seriously, she's a nut nut, but in a good way. I love working with her because I always know I'll get great results. But then, that can be a problem because I usually end up with too many good pics and more work than I bargained for. Likewise with Michelle's work on the makeup, hardly any work needed in post production in terms of touch ups (or airbrushing **hate that term**) - in fact I think only a couple of pics needed it, but that was deliberate to achieve the effect I was looking for. (Below is an example of what I mean ). Mark did a great job too, very professional. All in all twas a good day!!!!

Phew......

Well, it's been a busy couple of weeks! Finally have a saturday off. Normally I enjoy working at the weekends, but it's good to have one day to myself. Well, it's not really a proper day off, I'm just not shooting today. Have some client shots to upload to the website and some others to edit, plus I need to do some behind the scenes work on the website - a couple of small bugs to iron out. Must also prepare for Monday's big wedding shoot. The amazingly wonderful Michelle Anderson will be coming up to do some more outstanding makeup work on the beautiful Lisa Carolan. Monday's gonna be a fun day I think. Rain, hail or shine you'll all see us out and about in Clondalkin!!!!!!

Out Shooting

Right, well, time to give the camera a little wipe down and head out into the big bad world of Clondalkin for some shooting for my secret little project I'm working on. Hope it doesn't stay too overcast for too long - I need to break some photography rules for a couple of shots and I need a big strong sun to come out!!!!!

New Website

Well, I'm almost finished my new website. All in all it went together fairly quickly, and some problems from the old site have been eliminated. I've finished sorting the basic design layout now and I've uploaded this version of the site. Over the next few days or so I'll be changing some of the content, adding new photos and adding some new features and more importantly there'll be a whole new range of albums, frames, etc. to choose from. Hope you all enjoy the new site!!!!
